Need some help?

Here you can find answers to the most popular questions we get asked:

How does the PPLNS reward system work?

PPLNS stands for Pay Per Last Number of Shares. PukkaPool uses the PPLNS system as it is the best method to ensure miners are paid fairly for their work. It helps to prevent pool hopping as miners are paid for the last N shares in the PPLNS window at the moment the block is found.

Should I choose pool mining or solo mining?

By default, you should choose pool mining. You should only consider solo mining if you have a large amount of hash power and are prepared to wait a lot longer for your rewards.

Why have I not received a reward after mining for 24 hours?

You will receive your rewards as soon as the next block is found. So please be patient.

How long does it take to find a block?

The time it takes to find a block can vary a lot and is dependant on the total network hashrate, network difficulty, pool hashrate and luck. As a smaller pool, when our hashrate is low it can take several days or longer to find a block but when you mine with a smaller pool you will receive a larger share of the block rewards although they will be less frequent.

How long after a block is found will i see funds in my dashboard?

Once the pool finds a new block, it takes around 3-4 hours for the block to be confirmed by the network. Once the block is fully confirmed (100%), you will see any funds due to you appear under the ‘pending’ balance in your dashboard. Once the ‘pending’ balance is paid to your wallet, the funds will be listed under your ‘paid’ balance.

What are the available pool mining addresses?
Default: rtm-stratum.pukkapool.com
Europe: rtm-eu.pukkapool.com
USA: rtm-us.pukkapool.com
What are available pool ports?

Pukka Pool provides many ports with varying starting difficulty. Please select them based on your hash rate / miner speed:

Port Starting Difficulty Description SSL
3053 ~10,000 Low/Medium-Range Hardware (Up to 500 h/s)
3052 ~10,000 Low/Medium-Range Hardware (Up to 500 h/s)
3063 ~50,000 Medium/High-Range Hardware (Up to 3 kh/s)
3062 ~50,000 Medium/High-Range Hardware (Up to 3 kh/s)
3073 ~100,000 High-End Hardware (Up to 6 kh/s)
3072 ~100,000 High-End Hardware (Up to 6 kh/s)
When do payments happen?

Payments happen automatically every hour, so when your total due reaches the minimum payment threshold, your payment will be sent within an hour. By default the payment threshold is 100 RTM for both the pplns pool and the solo pool.

Is it possible to open the pool dashboard on a specific RTM address?

Yes, you can use https://rtm.pukkapool.com/?addr="your_rtm_address".

Am I paid only for the coin blocks I mine?

Pool Mining: For normal pool mining, the answer is No. The pool pays you your share from every block we find as a pool. Your pay share is based on the amount of hashes (shares) you submitted within the PPLNS window on the moment a block is found. This means that you will still be paid even after you stopped mining as long as your shares are within PPLNS window.

Solo Mining: For solo mining, the answer is Yes. You will only receive rewards for the blocks you mine yourself. You will not receive any pool rewards but you will receive all of the block rewards for the coin blocks you mine.

Can I have payment if I have less than 100 RTM?

Sorry, no. Its fairly quick and easy to accumulate 100 RTM and the minimum payment the pool supports is 100 RTM. This helps to prevent payments getting stuck when mining to an exchange or conjesting the network with lots of very small payments.

How much is the pool fee?

The pool fee is very low at just 1% for the pplns pool and 1.5% for the solo pool.

Is there a way to change my wallet address (move total amount due from one wallet to another)?

Generally, no. However it can be reviewed on case by case basis if there is enough evidence that you are asking to move money from wallet you own. That includes you knowing the email address for that wallet (if it is set); stopping ALL mining activity for at least one week to your old wallet; other checks that we will not disclose now.

Why does my miner generate lots of duplicate / rejected shares?

The majority of miners will normally see a rejection rate between 1% and 2% which is perfectly normal.

We have had some reports of miners using xmrig via a proxy or vpn seeing a rejection rate as high as 10% in some cases. This has been flagged as a bug with xmrig and what is actually happening when this occurs is that your miner is submitting duplicate shares after a vardiff update or job rebroadcast that would normally be discarded before being submitted to the pool. Since these shares would normally be discarded anyway, you can ignore them as your miner will not be banned for submitting these duplicates.

If you are NOT using a proxy and are seeing a rejection rate over 2%, you should check the quality of your internet connection.

Why does my miner recieve a pool error about throttled shares?

Because you are connecting too many miners with too low diff. Either increase miner diff or use mining proxy.

Why does my miner not show when the last share was submitted?

This happens when you have a blank worker name (Unnamed), to add a worker name in your miner settings, simply join your wallet address and worker name with a period / full stop.

example: xmrig.exe -a gr -o rtm-stratum.pukkapool.com:3053 -u wallet_address.worker_name -p x

Why does my miner recieve a json decode error?

Because you are using an old version of XMRig, please update your miner to correct this error.

What is miner ban policy on this pool?

In case of invalid shares the pool can use a temporary IP based ban that will be automatically removed after 10 minutes.

A permanent RTM address ban can be only issued if we get enough evidence that any wallet address on the pool is used for malware/botnet activities. By enough evidence we mean at least several reports from different sources and by address ban we mean that workers that try to use this address will be rejected.

Why is my worker name blank or Unnamed?

To add a worker name in your miner settings or config, simply join your wallet address and worker name with a period / full stop.

example: xmrig.exe -a gr -o rtm-stratum.pukkapool.com:3053 -u wallet_address.worker_name -p x

Why are some of my worker names replaced by all_other_workers worker?

This is because you are using a large amount of worker names and to avoid DB / network channel overloads all extra miners are joined under all_other_workers worker name.

Does PukkaPool support mining with NiceHash?

No, not yet. Nicehash does not support the Ghostrider algo on its marketplace yet. Once they have added it, we will add support for Nicehash, so watch this space.
